Fabulous Facial Skin Care: My Favorites (Part I)

True beauty starts within. A healthy, kind, and happy spirit provides a certain “glow” unattainable through any lotion, potion, or procedure. We can; however, give nature a little nurturing each day through a simple, consistent skin care routine. In one of my previous posts, I shared my personal morning pampering skincare steps. In a three-part blog series, I spill the tea on my most coveted products (non-sponsored)!

Here they are.

Introducing Beauty Secrets of Japan

I found my first favorite skin care cleanser, hydrosol, and facial oil on Etsy. I have remained loyal to this small Canadian-based, family-owned Japanese business called Beauty Secrets of Japan for about a decade. The owner and artisan handcrafter, Mami, was inspired by her grandmother to create all-natural, effective, and safe beauty products.

Japanese beauty from past to present.

I love all of their facial soaps, and am currently using the Sakura (cherry blossom) and Kaisou (seaweed) bars in the morning/evening. I follow with the Organic Rose Hydrosol, which I believe really does tighten pores, hydrate, and help with inflammation. Last, but certainly not least, I lightly massage with three drops of the Organic Tsubaki Oil (camellia seed). This oil is amazing! Wonderful as a moisturizer, it also helps with anti-aging by increasing elasticity, reducing fine lines, redness, and hyperpigmentation.

Mami’s creations are the best!

In Conclusion

Everyone’s skin is unique and different products work for different people. Without hesitation, I can say that these simple, naturally-derived and anciently-inspired goodies have been a Godsend to my face as well as my spirit. I am so happy to have found this magical skincare line and have no plans to change things in the future. Feel free to visit their website if you’d like to read more (not sponsored!)
